INTEL DEVELOPER FORUM, 11 de septiembre de 2012- Hoy en el  Intel Developer Forum (IDF), Renée James, vicepresidenta primera y directora general del Grupo de Software y Servicios en Intel Corporation, destacó sus objetivos para la informática transparente. Este concepto solo se ha hecho posible mediante un ecosistema de desarrollo "abierto" en donde los desarrolladores de software escriben código para utilizarlo en múltiples entornos y dispositivos. Este enfoque disminuirá los compromisos financieros y técnicos que hoy afectan a los desarrolladores.  

"Con la informática transparente, los desarrolladores de software ya no tienen que elegir un entorno u otro para mantener la rentabilidad y para seguir innovando", afirmó James. "Los consumidores y los negocios se enfrentan actualmente a una gran cantidad de dispositivos y entornos increíbles pero incompatibles que se encuentran disponibles en estos momentos. No estamos hablando solo de la movilidad, de la nube o del PC. Lo que realmente importa es cuando todos estos elementos se combinan para ofrecer una experiencia del usuario atractiva, transparente, en múltiples plataformas y que abarcan diversos entornos y arquitecturas de hardware. Los desarrolladores que adoptan esta realidad son los que van a seguir teniendo relevancia".

Los desarrolladores de software se ven actualmente forzados a elegir entre el alcance del mercado, el suministro de la información o el mantenimiento de la rentabilidad. Gracias al suministro del mejor rendimiento con el empleo de soluciones de Intel para diversas plataformas, las soluciones de seguridad y los canales de distribución económicamente favorables, la compañía continúa ocupando un puesto de liderazgo a la hora de definir e impulsar el ecosistema de software abierto.

Desarrollo para utilizarlo en muchos lugares

Aunque los desarrolladores expresan habitualmente su deseo de escribir el código una vez para utilizarlo en múltiples plataformas, en estos momentos existen pocos incentivos para que cualquiera de los gestores de estos entornos ofrezca soporte a diversas plataformas.  Como pieza central en la estrategia para el sistema operativo preferido de Intel, la compañía piensa que una solución para el problema que plantea el empleo de programas en varias plataformas puede ser el uso del HTML5. Gracias a este estándar, los desarrolladores ya no tienen que decidir entre la rentabilidad, la participación del mercado o el suministro de innovación en sus productos. Por su parte, los consumidores también se benefician, porque sus datos, aplicaciones e identidades pueden pasar sin problema de un sistema operativo o entorno de dispositivo a otro.

Durante su ponencia, James destacó la importancia del HTML5 y de los estándares relacionados y que la implementación de esta tecnología por parte de los desarrolladores debería seguir abierta para ofrecer un entorno sólido para el desarrollo de las aplicaciones. James reafirmó el compromiso de Intel con el HTML5 y JavaScript, anunciando que Mozilla, en colaboración con Intel, colabora en la implementación nativa de la tecnología River Trail . Ya se encuentra disponible como un plug-in y se encontrará de forma nativa en los navegadores de  Firefox para ofrecer la potencia de la informática paralela a las aplicaciones Web en 2013.

Security at Intel ofrece una ventaja inherente en lo que se refiere a su punto de vista. Durante más de una década, Intel ha aplicado su liderazgo tecnológico a las prestaciones para seguridad de la plataforma centradas en mantener la informática segura, desde los dispositivos y las redes a los centros de datos. Actualmente, la compañía amplía la eficacia de la seguridad con la combinación de soluciones de seguridad para hardware y software y con el diseño conjunto de productos con McAfee. James invitó al copresidente de McAfee, Michael DeCesare a unirse a ella sobre el escenario para destacar el papel importante que tiene la seguridad a medida que el entorno de las amenazas se vuelve más complejo, tanto en términos de volumen como en sofisticación. DeCesare también destacó la oportunidad que se ofrece a los desarrolladores para participar en la seguridad del sector.

Hablando de la dirección que McAfee está tomando con Intel, DeCesare se ocupó de la importancia que tiene entender hacia dónde se dirige la informática en general. Se refirió a algunos ejemplos, entre los que se incluyen aplicaciones que se cambian a la nube, además de las vías que buscan los departamentos de TI para reducir el consumo de energía y los esfuerzos asociados con los problemas relacionados con los grandes datos y la consumerización de las TI. DeCesare también destacó el valor que tiene mantener la experiencia del usuario y presentó el software de seguridad McAfee Anti-Theft. Diseñado para proteger la propiedad y la información personal de los consumidores en sistemas UltrabookTM, esta última mejora del producto es un esfuerzo colaborador con Intel para el desarrollo de software antirrobo que utiliza tecnologías de Intel y que ofrece protección tanto de datos como de dispositivos.

DeCesare reiteró la oportunidad que se ofrece  a los desarrolladores a través de la McAfee Security Innovation Alliance (SIA). Este programa de asociación tecnológica ayuda a acelerar el desarrollo de productos de seguridad interoperables, además de simplificar la integración de estos productos y ofrecer soluciones para maximizar el valor de las inversiones de clientes existentes. El programa también intenta reducir el tiempo de resolución de problemas y los costes operativos.

Se facilita el acceso de los desarrolladores a los recursos

James también anunció el Intel® Developer Zone, un programa diseñado para ofrecer a los desarrolladores de software y  a las empresas un único punto de acceso a herramientas, comunidades y recursos para ayudarles a participar con sus homólogos. El actual ecosistema de  software está repleto de retos y de oportunidades en áreas como la tecnología para potenciar nuevas experiencias del usuario, las expectativas de las pantallas táctiles, los requisitos sobre duración de las baterías, la seguridad de los datos la accesibilidad de la nube. El programa se centra en ofrecer recursos para ayudar a los desarrolladores a aprenden y adoptar estos cambios en evolución del mercado, además de maximizar los esfuerzos de desarrollo en muchos formatos, plataformas y sistemas operativos.

·         Recursos para el desarrollo: las herramientas de software, la formación, las guías para desarrolladores, los códigos de muestra y el soporte ayudarán a los desarrolladores a crear nuevas experiencias del usuario en muchas plataformas. En el cuarto trimestre de este año, el Intel Developer Zone presentará un  HTML5 Developer Zone centrado en aplicaciones para diferentes plataformas, orientando a los desarrollos a través de instalaciones reales de aplicaciones HTML5 en entornos Apple* iOS*, Google* Android*, Microsoft* Windows* y Tizen*.

·         Recursos empresariales: la distribución mundial de software y las oportunidades de venta se encontrarán disponibles a través del centro Intel AppUp® y de los recursos de marketing conjunto. Los desarrolladores pueden distribuir y publicar aplicaciones a múltiples tiendas afiliadas de centros de Intel AppUp para los sistemas Ultrabook, tablets y sistemas de sobremesa. El Intel Developer Zone también ofrece oportunidades para incrementar la concienciación y la capacidad de localización a través del Software Business Network, demostraciones de productos y programas de marketing.

·         Comunidades activas: con el Intel Developer Zone, los desarrolladores pueden participar con expertos en sus áreas - tanto de Intel como del sector - para compartir conocimientos, obtener soporte y establecer relaciones. Love and friendship with many technology with ' the world day of the... - El Universal - Cartagena

More than 400 people gathered in the modern intelligent building "Centre of innovation of virtual studies" of the University of Cartagena on the occasion of "the day world of the free Software", which was made possible thanks to the support and organization of the network of the information technologies and knowledge (network ICT).

The contest joined a farm community that begins to be part of the growing movement of free Software, which increasingly is more presence to support events that allow to create a community of collective and free knowledge around the new information and communication technologies.

THE PROGRAM

The event was organized in four sections on four floors of the new building.

Throughout the day developed the agenda scheduled without any problems and with events, conferences and workshops that were developed simultaneously.

On the first floor was the Game Fest where organized championships and friendly matches around famosos video games developed entirely on Free Software. "Open Arena", "Urban Terror" and "Frest On Fire" were the games star of the event.

Approximately 85 computers were available throughout the day for the "gamers" of Cartagena rid their digital contests.

On the next floor was available laboratory facility that received all the users wishing to migrate to free operating systems.

Ubuntu, Centos and Linux Mint were some of the distributions available for installation. In addition to installing the Linux system, the advisers were willing to provide a complete training on how to use and leverage the distribution that the user chose.

On the third floor were workshops simultaneously on Robotics, and practical applications on Android and community networks (Caribbean Mesh). The majority of students were all day walking each section of the event.

On the top floor available for the event organizers installed the section of conferences where guests specialized and expert on the topic of computer and technology in free Software delivered academic lectures on different topics.

HIGHLIGHTS

One of the most striking workshops was the "free Hardware Arduino workshop" taught by Diego Alejandro Gómez López, who has designed a small vehicle robot using Free Software tools such as Arduino and Android.

The small toy was remotely controlled from a mobile phone with Android operating system by an application.

Diego Alejandro is student of Mechatronics Engineering at the Universidad Tecnológica de Bolívar tells how he has used the technologies applied in this project which for the is a hobby.

Another outstanding Conference was dictated by Jeisson Baldovino for all digital entrepreneurs who would like to set up your business online, as it is the Conference on content management systems for Online shops by the "Drop Shipping" strategy.

BALANCE

The event was a success and all attendees were satisfied by having access to this type of event technology.

"I think excellent that performed this type of event in the city so that we continue instructing us on free software," said Alexander Silvero, one of those attending the event.

The organizers of the world day of free Software were also unhappy with the reception that this event took.

El Gobierno de Irlanda organizará el 27 de septiembre en el Palacio de Miraflores de Madrid una Feria de Empleo para buscar profesionales especializados en el sector de las TIC que quieran trabajar en empresas irlandesas de software.

Según ha informado la Oficina Comercial de Irlanda en España, Enterprise Ireland, la iniciativa 'It's happening here' tiene como objetivo encontrar ingenieros de software cualificados y con experiencia que busquen nuevos retos profesionales en empresas irlandesas.

La feria contará con la presencia empresas irlandesas de software y desarrollo como Version 1, Avego, Digital Skills, Tango Telecom, Exaxe, Storm, Zenith, Ocuco y System Dynamics. Aunque la participación en la Feria es libre, se recomienda que los candidatos se registren previamente a través de esta página web 'http://www.enterprise-ireland.com/en/Events/OurEvents/ITs-Happening-Here-Spanish-Employment-Fair/'.

Durante la Feria del Empleo para profesionales TIC en Irlanda que tendrá lugar en Madrid, los interesados podrán conversar y entregar personalmente su currículum vitae a los encargados de recursos humanos de dichas compañías.

Los participantes deberán cumplir los siguientes requisitos: ser un profesional de software, con tres o más años de experiencia en el sector, tener un buen nivel de inglés y estar dispuesto a desplazarse a vivir a Irlanda. España será el primer país en acoger este foro de empleo, que en el futuro se convertirá en un evento itinerante. El objetivo de este encuentro es cubrir la creciente oferta de empleo del sector del software en Irlanda y encontrar profesionales cualificados que den respuesta a los mas de 1.000 puestos vacantes que hay en mas de 600 empresas TIC irlandesas.

Irlanda cuenta con una industria muy dinámica, innovadora y en continuo auge; el sector del software está en pleno desarrollo y quieren encontrar el mejor y suficiente personal cualificado para seguir creciendo. Por este motivo, el 27 de septiembre estarán en Madrid para encontrar los mejores candidatos para seguir desarrollando este sector.
