18 de septiembre: Dia del Software Libre - Fuente de la imagen: taringa.net18 de setiembre se esta realizando los festejos mundiales del Día del Software Libre.
En dicho evento se busca difundir el software libre, abordándolo desde charlas de expertos hasta experiencias reales de usuarios comunes. También se intenta “evangelizar” a autoridades gubernamentales, instituciones educativas y empresas para que se animen a dar el salto hacia tecnologías libres.
El evento se desarrollará el mismo día en todo el mundo y en muchas ciudades; en Argentina, hasta ahora, hay 14 ciudades confirmadas, entre las cuales podemos encontrar a Rosario, la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Neuquén, Córdoba, San Miguel de Tucumán, entre otras. Si se animan a ir , encontraran muchas charlas informativas y participativas donde podrán interiorizarse más en la temática del software libre.
Si no les basta con los cientos de blogs que hay hoy en día y necesitan un poco de comprobación empírica, está es su oportunidad para acercarse al software libre.

SAN RAMON, California, 19 September 2012/PRNewswire / - GENIVI Alliance, an Association of the automotive industry and electronic consumption driving the development and adoption of a reference open In-vehicle platform Infotainment (IVI), today announced that its development of components becomes new public open source community projects sponsored by the Alliance.
All the code specified for compliance with GENIVI is, and will continue to be made up of approved open source components. Today, 95% of the GENIVI compliance software components is already adopted or adapted from existing open source projects.When the Alliance was initially unable to find a home in the community for some components, GENIVI had originally developed this "in-house" software. Through these projects supported recently created, the components now will develop in the FOSS (Free and Open-Source Software) community.
The first three projects are Layer Manager, Audio Manager and Automotive DLT (Diagnostic Log and Trace). More technical information about these projects is available at www.genivi.org [http://www.genivi.org/].
During his opening statement in the Automotive Linux Summit of the Linux Foundation in Gaydon, England, Matt Jones, Vice President, GENIVI and technical leader of Next Generation Infotainment Systems, Jaguar Land Rover, said: "Moving our code internal to the public model of open source community development activities, GENIVI expected to simplify the contribution of its members and become involved with individual taxpayers in community FOSS which are not members." "The benefit for developers of open source is freely available access to automotive software advanced, an opportunity to directly contribute to its development, and clear a path for the adoption of this technology by related industries." Adding: "the benefit for GENIVI is a level of increased interest and activity towards the goal of the Alliance of a common software for IVI infrastructure".
The Linux Foundation, the non-profit consortium dedicated to the growth of Linux and FOSS, will offer professional services to accommodate all the GENIVI sponsored projects.
"Giving GENIVI centralized resources for hosting your code, can help to increase collaboration in the Linux community and open source", said Jim Zemlin, executive director of the Linux Foundation.
All projects will be maintained by GENIVI throughout his life in the open source environment. When it deemed beneficial, GENIVI can also merge specific projects with other existing successful community projects to foster development.
In addition, the Alliance also sponsor new projects of "incubation" for IVI software automotive in the open source community. These projects will encourage the development of experimental technologies and initial phase that are consistent with the mission and technical scope of the Alliance, but not currently part of the GENIVI compliance specification.

A3 Software prepara su estrategia con su canal Wolters Kluwer-A3 Software ha reunido en Granada a más de 200 partners en una nueva edición de sus Jornadas Comerciales, que bajo el lema “Conectados al futuro” han servido para hacer balance de este año, diseñar la estrategia para los próximos meses y reforzar lazos con sus distribuidores. Este evento ha sido el marco elegido para dar a conocer la compra de la compañía EDS Informática con el fin de impulsar aún más su presencia en el mercado de asesorías y despachos. Wolters-Kluwer-A3 Software es una empresa de canal, como señala Josep Aragonés, director general de Wolters Kluwer (División Tax&Accounting). Esta orientación es uno de los pilares de su estrategia como ha quedado demostrado durante los tres días de las jornadas en las que ha compartido con sus ditribuidores sus planes y han diseñado conjuntamente su plan de acción para los próximos meses. Por primera vez ha contado con socios de la talla de Fujitsu, HP, Microsoft y ARTIC, que han tenido a su disposición un espacio para mostrar sus propuestas, ya que uno de sus propósitos es impulsar el networking con el fin de aprovechar todas las oportunidades que se presenten.
Josep Aragonés cree que su “especialización y la dualidad asesoría-pyme” son sus mejores bazas para afianzarse en el mercado y le permiten ofrecer una solución completa que incluye contenidos, software, servicios y formación. Esta oferta más el trabajo con su red de distribución, que se compone de cerca de 250 miembros en el ámbito de las pymes, 50 figuras en despachos y 15 especialistas en Recursos Humanos, que acaparán el 50 % de su volumen de negocio —en el caso de la pyme el porcentaje se eleva al 75 % —constituyen el corazón de su negocio y su eje principal de actuación.
En los próximos meses intensificará el trabajo con su canal ya que Aragonés, a pesar de la crisis que atraviesa España, se mostró optimista y considera que hay espacio para crecer si a las pymes se les ofrece la tecnología adecuada para mejorar su negocio y se facilita el acceso a ésta.

El negocio del software de la compañía, que se ha cuadriplicado desde que A3 Software se integró en Wolters Kluwer, no crece tan rápido por la delicada situación económica aunque como recalca Aragonés en los últimos tres años se ha acumulado un 12 % de crecimiento. Este ejercicio espera que se cierre sin crecimiento, pero se mantenga el volumen de negocio respecto al año anterior. El último trimestre de este año y el primero del próximo se presentan intensos por ser el periodo en el que los clientes cambian de software. Para aprovechar estas oportunidades, Aragonés señala que sus principales líneas estratégicas girarán en torno al valor. Recomienda a sus distribuidores dejar de vender por precio y centrarse en ofrecer una solución completa, focalizándose en los productos más sólidos de su oferta y completándolos con servicios.
Cloud
Adaptar sus productos al cloud es otra de sus prioridades y líneas de acción para los próximos ejercicios. Su intención es que sus soluciones estén en el entorno cloud en 2015. La nube, según considera Aragonés, presenta nuevas oportunidades de negocio para su red de distribución por todos “servicios de parametrización e integración que puede aportar el partner”.
Además, no dejará de impulsar su red de distribución ya que quiere reforzar su canal con nuevos miembros. Un ejemplo de esto es que a las jornadas se ha invitado a siete partners potenciales para tratar de cerrar una nueva relación comercial.
Las Jornadas Comerciales han sido también el marco elegido para dar a conocer su nueva adquisición: la empresa EDS Informática, especializada en aplicaciones para asesorías laborales, fiscales y contables y para administración de empresas.
Esta compra, como resaltó Josep Aragonés, se enmarca dentro de su política de crecimiento a través de adquisiciones y refuerza su presencia dentro del mercado de las Asesorías y Despachos profesionales.
Aragonés explicó que las adquisiciones podrán continuar en el futuro y en el ámbito del software podrían ser “de compañías de nicho”.

URSOS es una aplicaci?n de software para el dise?o y evaluaci?n de urbanizaciones energ?ticamente eficientes, aplicando al mismo tiempo criterios de sostenibilidad medio ambiental. La evaluaci?n de dicho desarrollo se realiza desde un doble punto de vista: por un lado el programa calcula las demandas energ?ticas de cada edificio teniendo en cuenta inputs clim?ticos, trayectorias solares, sombras y caracter?sticas de edificios y por otro lado eval?a diversos ?ndices de sostenibilidad en t?rminos de consumos energ?ticos, medioambientales y de calidad de vida. INTEL DEVELOPER FORUM, 11 de septiembre de 2012- Hoy en el Intel Developer Forum (IDF), Renée James, vicepresidenta primera y directora general del Grupo de Software y Servicios en Intel Corporation, destacó sus objetivos para la informática transparente. Este concepto solo se ha hecho posible mediante un ecosistema de desarrollo "abierto" en donde los desarrolladores de software escriben código para utilizarlo en múltiples entornos y dispositivos. Este enfoque disminuirá los compromisos financieros y técnicos que hoy afectan a los desarrolladores.
"Con la informática transparente, los desarrolladores de software ya no tienen que elegir un entorno u otro para mantener la rentabilidad y para seguir innovando", afirmó James. "Los consumidores y los negocios se enfrentan actualmente a una gran cantidad de dispositivos y entornos increíbles pero incompatibles que se encuentran disponibles en estos momentos. No estamos hablando solo de la movilidad, de la nube o del PC. Lo que realmente importa es cuando todos estos elementos se combinan para ofrecer una experiencia del usuario atractiva, transparente, en múltiples plataformas y que abarcan diversos entornos y arquitecturas de hardware. Los desarrolladores que adoptan esta realidad son los que van a seguir teniendo relevancia".

Love and friendship with many technology with ' the world day of the... - El Universal - Cartagena
More than 400 people gathered in the modern intelligent building "Centre of innovation of virtual studies" of the University of Cartagena on the occasion of "the day world of the free Software", which was made possible thanks to the support and organization of the network of the information technologies and knowledge (network ICT).
The contest joined a farm community that begins to be part of the growing movement of free Software, which increasingly is more presence to support events that allow to create a community of collective and free knowledge around the new information and communication technologies.
THE PROGRAM
The event was organized in four sections on four floors of the new building.
Throughout the day developed the agenda scheduled without any problems and with events, conferences and workshops that were developed simultaneously.
On the first floor was the Game Fest where organized championships and friendly matches around famosos video games developed entirely on Free Software. "Open Arena", "Urban Terror" and "Frest On Fire" were the games star of the event.
Approximately 85 computers were available throughout the day for the "gamers" of Cartagena rid their digital contests.
On the next floor was available laboratory facility that received all the users wishing to migrate to free operating systems.
Ubuntu, Centos and Linux Mint were some of the distributions available for installation. In addition to installing the Linux system, the advisers were willing to provide a complete training on how to use and leverage the distribution that the user chose.
On the third floor were workshops simultaneously on Robotics, and practical applications on Android and community networks (Caribbean Mesh). The majority of students were all day walking each section of the event.
On the top floor available for the event organizers installed the section of conferences where guests specialized and expert on the topic of computer and technology in free Software delivered academic lectures on different topics.
HIGHLIGHTS
One of the most striking workshops was the "free Hardware Arduino workshop" taught by Diego Alejandro Gómez López, who has designed a small vehicle robot using Free Software tools such as Arduino and Android.
The small toy was remotely controlled from a mobile phone with Android operating system by an application.
Diego Alejandro is student of Mechatronics Engineering at the Universidad Tecnológica de Bolívar tells how he has used the technologies applied in this project which for the is a hobby.
Another outstanding Conference was dictated by Jeisson Baldovino for all digital entrepreneurs who would like to set up your business online, as it is the Conference on content management systems for Online shops by the "Drop Shipping" strategy.

USA liberó tres nuevos virus como el Flame y Stuxnet - Urgente 24
Una nueva serie de virus informáticos que tienen como objetivo dañar la infraestructura iraní y de los enemigos ed USA han sido liberados, según publicó Reuters. Los fabricantes de software antivirus Symantec Corp de USA y Kaspersky Lab de Rusia revelaron este lunes que habían encontrado evidencia de que los elaboradores de Flame también podrían haber trabajado con otros tres virus que aún se desconocen. Las dos empresas de seguridad, que realizaron sus análisis por separado, se negaron a hacer comentarios sobre quién estaba detrás de Flame. Encuentran una evidencia que sugiere que USA podría haber desarrollado tres virus informáticos antes desconocidos destinados a operaciones de espionaje y ciberguerra, según informa la agencia de noticias Reuters.
